Controversial boxer Ryan Garcia was arrested on felony assault charges at a luxury Beverly Hills hotel on Saturday, according to a report.

Garcia, 25, was seen wearing a helmet by police as he was escorted out of the Waldorf Astoria hotel lobby following an incident this afternoon, TMZ reports.

“The boxer was transported by BHPD to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment and, based on our knowledge, he may be charged with public intoxication,” Garcia’s attorney told the outlet.

Under California law, damage over $400 is considered a felony.
The former WBC interim lightweight champion was also reportedly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, TMZ reported.

Garcia was escorted out of the hotel peacefully and without any problems.
Officials reportedly conducted a health checkup on Garcia on Wednesday after a family member expressed concern for the boxer’s well-being.

Police responded to the hotel that evening before determining that Garcia was fine and no other crimes had been committed, a law enforcement source told TMZ at the time.

The outlet said Garcia was later seen on Rodeo Drive with her brother, Shawn.

ESPN reported that tests were conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association before the fight, but the results were not known until later.

According to Forbes, he was cleared of a possible positive drug test for 19-norandrosterone metabolite a week later after his B-sample tested positive.

In January, Garcia announced the birth of his first son, just before he broke the news that he and his supermodel wife were headed for divorce.
“Praise the Lord. I’m so grateful, I love him so much already. He’s already so fast haha. It only took 8 minutes for him to arrive,” Garcia wrote alongside a photo of baby Henry. ‘

“As I move into a new chapter in my life, it is with a heavy heart that I have to share that Drea and I have decided to divorce,” Garcia said in a now-deleted Instagram post shared by TMZ.

Next Fight

Oxwing rivals Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney have united to demand payday for their highly anticipated fight, putting aside their differences to tackle a common issue. Both fighters claim that almost two months after their clash in the ring, they have not received their earnings from Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) and DAZN.

Ryan Garcia, fresh off his surprise win over Devin Haney, took to social media to express his frustration on June 8. Despite reportedly earning $50 million for the fight, including payouts from betting on himself, Garcia says he has yet to receive a penny.

His tweet read: “Still haven’t received a check from @GoldenBoyBoxing and @DAZN. This is unacceptable. Where is my money?” This public call has caused a stir in the boxing community, with fans and fellow athletes expressing their shock and support.

Devin Haney, who faced Garcia in the controversial fight, immediately joined the conversation. Just minutes after Garcia’s tweet, Haney confirmed that he too had not been paid. He retweeted Garcia’s post with a simple “Same”, indicating his own dissatisfaction with the situation.

Haney has had previous feuds with GBP, in which he criticized their professionalism, but this public engagement with Garcia lends credence to his claims.
The alliance between Garcia and Haney is surprising, considering their fierce rivalry.

However, their shared frustration with GBP and DAZN has brought them together in their quest for justice. GarcĂa’s involvement is particularly notable, as he is one of the most prominent faces of Oscar De La Hoya’s promotion. This situation raises questions about the internal operations of these high-profile boxing promotions.

As fans anxiously await GBP and DAZN’s reactions, the focus has turned from the ring to behind-the-scenes business deals. The drama over non-payment of dues continues, leaving the boxing world in shock.

Record

Ryan Garcia has been unable to catch any breaks since his win over Devin Haney. He’s been in the news for all the wrong reasons and just hours ago, ‘Kingery’ was arrested by authorities for vandalism at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Garcia had been living at the property for a few days and it was not the first time authorities had been called. A member of Ryan’s family expressed concern that he might need assistance, so police were called to Waldorf on Wednesday to conduct a welfare check.

However, on reaching the spot the police felt that he was doing fine and hence he left the premises.

A few days later, law enforcement was called once again as Garcia was accused of damaging property at the hotel, including his room and hallway. In a video that has gone viral online, Garcia is escorted out of the compound by security.

A tattoo is a priceless gift.
In California, any act of vandalism that results in damage of $400 or more can be charged as a felony and is punishable by imprisonment in a county jail for not more than one year or a fine of not more than $10,000 .

Among you, these reports come just hours after Garcia claimed that he has not been paid the full amount owed for the Haney fight.

A few hours ago, Ryan Garcia took to Twitter to side with his enemy Devin Haney and call out Golden Boy Promotions. Garcia said it’s “messed up” that he hasn’t received money for the fight yet. Shortly after Garcia’s tweet, Oscar De La Hoya took to Instagram to defend himself and his company.

De La Hoya said that according to their contracts, Haney and Garcia both received their dues. However, with PPV events the revenue comes over time and when that happens, Garcia and Haney will be paid extra. He also urged both fighters to pay more attention to their contracts rather than their social media feeds.
