The RNC will host its biggest concert to date as it plans to close the convention with a performance by country star Jason Aldean at the Potawatomi Casino Hotel.

RNC host committee chairman Reince Priebus told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Thursday that the singer will perform at a party thrown by the committee after the RNC concludes Thursday night.

Aldean became a polarizing celebrity when his first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100, “Try That in a Small Town”, angered some with its implicit endorsement of violence. Critics suggested that the song and music video, released a year earlier, contained racist dog whistles, a claim Aldean denied.

Aldean dedicated the controversial song to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump at a show in Holmdel, New Jersey on Saturday, after the former president was shot in the ear in an assassination attempt.

Aldean and his wife, Brittany, were seen in the front row of Trump’s VIP box on Thursday night.
According to the Milwaukee Business Journal, the Milwaukee show will take place at the Potawatomi Casino Hotel’s new outdoor live-entertainment venue. The new 4,800-capacity venue opened on June 15 with a performance by Snoop Dogg.

The private show was not listed on Aldean’s tour programme.

Aldean will return to the area on August 17 for a stop at Alpine Valley on his Highway Desperado 2024 tour.

The RNC host committee did not immediately respond to a request for more information about the party or concert.

Country star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Aldean attended the Republican National Convention on Thursday night — and sat directly next to Donald Trump.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Aldean is set to perform at a party the committee is planning to hold at the Potawatomi Casino Hotel to close the RNC.

Fox News Digital has contacted a representative for Aldean for comment.

Aldean dedicated his song, “Try That in a Small Town” to Trump, following the assassination attempt against the former president on Saturday.

The country star was performing in Holmdel, New Jersey, when his words for Trump were captured in video shared on social media.

“President Trump is my friend, so I want to send this next song to him,” Aldean said, according to video footage uploaded to TikTok. “We all know what’s going to happen in November, so it’s all good. Just to show you there’s a lot of (expletive) in the world, and that’s what this song was about, so it’s based on the President. “

His caption began, “This is what a warrior looks like! This is my boy.” “Donald Trump we are thinking of you and praying for you and your family. God has a big plan for you my friend and I think by now we all know what that is. My Heartfelt thoughts are with the families of the victims who are left to pick up the pieces of this cowardly act.”

Model and rapper Amber Rose spoke at the first night of the Republican National Convention. Also performing are Lee Greenwood and Chris Janson, who performed their songs “Buy Me a Boat” and “All American Guy”.

Kid Rock performed at the RNC on Thursday.
