let’s go girls! Shania Twain is headlining the Rogers Festival of the Finals concert series in Edmonton this week in honor of the Stanley Cup Finals with Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace.
As announced on Monday (June 10), two free concerts presented by Rogers in partnership with the NHL will begin with a performance of Our Lady Peace before Game 3 on Thursday (June 13). The “You’re Still the One” singer will take the stage before Game 4 on Saturday (June 15).
Both performances will start at 4 pm. MT at Scotiabank Fan Park outside Rogers Place before 6 p.m. MT Games, no ticket required. They will serve to excite hockey fans as the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers face off for a best-of-seven in the pursuit of the Stanley Cup.
The news comes just hours before Game 2, which begins at 8 p.m. ET. The first game – which Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater attended – took place in Florida on Saturday (June 8) and ended with a 3–0 victory for the Panthers against the Oilers.
Before Game 1, The Kid Laroi performed as part of a similar concert series presented by BodyArmor. DJ Khaled is set to deliver a musical showcase before Game 2 as part of the same series.
Twain is set to release a new single with a surprise new collaborator, Yung Gravy. The track, titled “White Claw”, was released on Friday (June 7). In August, she will return to Las Vegas’ Bakkt Theater for the second round of her Come On Over residency in Sin City.
Our Lady Peace has not released an album since 2022’s Spiritual Machines II. However, according to a release, the “Superman’s Dead” quartet is set to release new music sometime this year.
