Najee Harris has always been vocal about the undervaluation of NFL running backs. Today we will discuss about Najee Harris contract: Stats,Fantasy,Trade,Wife,Age&Height.

The 24th selection of the 2021 NFL Draft, Harris joined the Steelers on a four-year, $13.047 million contract. Each first-round draft pick signs a four-year contract with a team option for a fifth season. But that option must be exercised before the player’s fourth season.
Nothing matches Najee Harris‘ explanation of why he didn’t get a fifth-year option from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I’m not saying Harris is the one blurring the lines. If I’m him, I’d be confused too.
The 2021 first-round draft selection spoke to media members on Wednesday as the players reported for training camp at St. Vincent College here. It was the first time Harris had spoken publicly since the franchise declined his fifth-year option in the spring.
Harris said the reason given to him was that the club “didn’t know where the offense was going.”
Huh. That’s weird. Because the Steelers hired Arthur Smith as offensive coordinator. So I think it’s pretty clear that the direction crime is headed is back to 1976.
“Grand and Pahand.” Win with the run game. Get 3.4 yards and a “clad” of dust on every carry.
So, one would think Harris would be perfectly prepared for such a role. Unless, of course, Smith thinks the 242-pound Harris will be big enough to get the job done. Or head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan are imposing that belief on Smith.

Tomlin was diplomatic when presented with Harris’ quote on Wednesday.
“I don’t need to add anything else in answer to your question,” Tomlin said. “If that’s what he was told, then that’s what he was told.”
Ok. Then who told him this?
Tomlin feels as if it wasn’t him. So was that general manager Omar Khan’s statement to Harris personal? Or Harris’s agent?
Regardless of who said it, did they really mean that the team didn’t know “what direction the offense was going”? Or did he mean he didn’t know which direction the team was leaning in as to who should be the leader on attack?
Harris? Jaylen Warren? Or TBA running back in 2025?
Because it seems more likely to me.
Either way, I’ll stand by what I wrote when Harris’ option was rejected two months ago.

Fantasy
How many times have you made a lineup decision based on what defense the running back was facing? This may not matter for Saquon Barkley or even Alvin Kamara, but it might for one of the two-dozen or so other running backs who may not necessarily be considered starters.
How many times have you made your draft day decision based on what defenses the running back will face during the season? maybe never.
maybe you should.
I’ve long believed that matchups matter. To predict which matchups will be favorable versus unfavorable, I created a concept called Projected Strength of Schedule or PSOS. Using film analysis, study of scheme and coaching, and of course an understanding of who is playing, I came up with a grade for each NFL team as it relates to their run defense and pass defense against running backs.
At the very least, this will give you a potential tiebreaker when debating between two players in your draft. At best, it’s a warning sign to avoid certain players across the league.

If you are reading this, you are on a page that details PSOS for quarterbacks. You’ll learn about players who have easy predictable schedules, difficult predictable schedules, and everyone in between. If you’re interested in the methodology behind these numbers, you should read this.
For now, here’s how each offense’s running backs rank in terms of PSOS, with 1 being the easiest and 32 being the hardest. There is a table for the entire season, the first four weeks of the season (who can get off to a faster start?!) and weeks 15 to 17 (fantasy playoffs).

You should also take advantage of the in-season version of the projected strength of schedule rankings, exclusively on SportsLine. Trade
The Dallas Cowboys are not interested in trading running back Najee Harris to the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to NFL Media, despite some rumors that the team is considering doing so.
Dallas recently addressed its running back situation when it signed former two-time league rushing champion Ezekiel Elliott to a one-year deal. The Cowboys still have free agent acquisition Royce Freeman in addition to Rico Dowdle (who backed up Tony Pollard last year) and 2023 sixth-round pick Deuce Vaughn.

Harris’ future was brought to the forefront of negotiations after the Steelers declined to pick up his fifth-year option, meaning Harris is currently set to become a free agent after the 2024 season. The Steelers are reportedly open to re-signing Harris after the 2024 season, but first want to see how he fits inside new coordinator Arthur Smith’s offense.
Harris is still a key part of the Steelers’ offense, which is one reason why Pittsburgh is not expected to trade him. He handled the ball on 27% of the Steelers’ offensive snaps last season. He had his best performance last season and ran for a total of 312 yards and 4 touchdowns in Pittsburgh’s last three games.
The Steelers won every game and were able to clinch a wild-card playoff berth.
Harris – the only NFL running back to rush for more than 1,000 yards in each of the last three seasons – is expected to share Pittsburgh’s workouts this offseason with Jaylen Warren, an undrafted 2022 rookie who played in an offensive role last season. Saw an increase.
It is not known at this time whether Harris will continue to start or Warren’s role will increase in 2024.
Wife
Najee Harris is a typical example of how a troubled childhood can still bring out the best in a person if he or she is ready to give life the best shot. Harris, who was born in Martinez, California, in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area, was raised by a single mother throughout her life. Although he respects his father for how much he tried to help the family, life was difficult for the current Steelers. In 2021, Harris was awarded Pro Bowl honors and was selected to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
It looks like Nazee Harris doesn’t have a girlfriend at the moment. In fact, there are no details about his personal life that include any former relationships. Therefore, there is a strong possibility that the Steelers want to blossom on the football field before focusing on their personal life.
Does Najee Harris have kids?
Harris currently does not have any children. The 25-year-old, who is now in his third season in the NFL, is solely focused on his career at the moment.
