The British government’s Maritime Accident Investigation Branch said four inspectors had been sent to Sicily to conduct an “initial assessment”, Reuters reported.

Expert Italian divers have launched a fresh search for six people missing after a boat capsized off Sicily before dawn on Monday, AFP reported.
The British-flagged Bayesian yacht was carrying 22 people, including 10 crew members.
Six people, including British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, are still missing.
Salvo Cocina, head of Sicily’s civil protection agency, told AFP that Lynch’s wife, Angela Beckers, was among the 15 rescued, but the businessman and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah were missing.
Morgan Stanley International Bank Chairman Jonathan Blumer and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo are also missing.
The first search for the wreck, about 50 meters below the sea surface, was unsuccessful.
“Access was limited to the bridge only, with the presence of furniture blocking the way,” firefighters said.
Net worth
Lynch made the Forbes billionaires list in 2014 and 2015 with an estimated net worth of $1 billion, but he dropped off the list in 2016.
Wife
Shocked Angela told Italian outlet La Repubblica that she and her husband woke up at around 4am on Monday morning and made a sudden shift to the £14million superyacht.
Six people are still missing off the coast of Sicily when the mast collapsed and the ship capsized at about 5 a.m. local time, sinking more than 160 feet.
As the boat overturned, about 22 frightened passengers, mostly British, started screaming in fear.
Angela, who suffered horrific injuries to both legs reportedly caused by broken glass, told the Italian outlet that she had felt a “slight tingling” on the ship before the tragedy occurred.
She and her husband were not worried at first, but as they got up to investigate, the sound of breaking glass on the boat set off panic.
Jonathan Bloomer, 70, a top executive at investment banking giant Morgan Stanley, is among four Britons still missing and two Americans also lost at sea.
Intensive searches continued till Monday night after 15 people were rescued, with fresh efforts continuing today.

Torrential rain and wind hit much of Porticello harbor in Palermo overnight Sunday – with the 183-foot superyacht being attacked by swirling columns of air that created torrents of water.
Witnesses said a tornado broke the 246-foot boat’s mast – the second tallest in the world – in half.
Others told Italian outlet Ansa that the anchor had broken when the storm hit on Monday morning, throwing the ship off balance.
Divers confirmed they found debris about 50 meters below the surface on Monday.
The body of a person has been found near the destroyed ship.
Although not formally identified, the Palermo coast guard said it was the boat’s cook.
Fifteen people were rescued from the water, including a one-year-old British girl whose mother held her over her head before she could be rescued.
Lynch, formerly known as the “British Bill Gates”, was hosting a party on a boat with his wife and daughter.
