Dan Hurley is reported to be one of the LA Lakers’ targets for their vacant head coach position. After a poor season, Darwin Ham was fired, and LA is looking for someone who can return the team to its glory days.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who first reported the Lakers’ interest in Hurley, said he prepared to travel to Los Angeles on Friday to meet with Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka and owner Jenny Buss (0:08) Are.

Salary

Currently, Hurley makes $5.25 million per season as UConn’s head coach. He signed a six-year, $31.5 million contract ahead of the 2023–24 campaign, seemingly locking up his future at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion through 2029. That reported figure has a few caveats, namely that it doesn’t include incentives.

Dan Hurley has been married to his wife, Andrea Hurley, since 1997. Danny was born in 1999 and Andrew in 2002. Danny also completed his undergraduate studies at Seton Hall, where Dan and Andrea met.
