The New York Jets lost offensive tackle Morgan Moses to a knee injury early in the second quarter of Sunday’s game with the Buffalo Bills.
After getting injured, he went to the sideline and towards the blue medical tent. After the examination, he moved to a stationary bike to treat the injury. The Jets listed him as questionable to return.
Moses’ participation in the game was doubtful due to a knee injury. He first suffered it in Week 3 and missed two games before returning to the lineup. His name was listed on New York’s injury report most weeks thereafter, but he always played.
The Jets are already without veteran tackle Tyron Smith, who is on injured reserve with a neck injury, and rookie Olu Fashanu, who is on IR after suffering a foot injury last week.
Moses was acquired by New York in a trade in the offseason and can become a free agent after the season.
The Jets’ inactive players for Sunday’s game were cornerback Jarick Bernard-Converse, edge rusher Braden McGregor (ankle), kicker Anders Carlson, safety Jaylin Simpson, cornerback Kendall Sheffield and cornerback Quantez Stigers.
Three stars on the injury report were able to start the game, including wide receiver Davante Adams, defensive lineman Quinnen Williams and cornerback Sauce Gardner.
Players listed on New York’s injury report as active for the game include cornerback Michael Carter II (back), safety Tony Adams (ankle), offensive guard Elijah Vera-Tucker (ankle), edge rusher Haason Redick (neck), offensive guard John is involved. Simpson (calf) and quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee).
New York also activated kicker Greg Zuerlein from injured reserve after more than a month. But he couldn’t handle the game’s opening kickoff. The Jets hired punter Thomas Morstead to handle it.
The Bills will be without several players who were on the injury report all week, notably wide receiver Curtis Samuel (rib) and safety Damar Hamlin (rib). Other inactives included cornerback Carey Elam, linebacker Nick.
Today live
The 2024 season, especially December 2024, will truly be one to remember for QB Josh Allen, from scoring six touchdowns in a single game to becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to rush for a touchdown in a single game. Now in Sunday afternoon’s contest against the Jets, he will have the opportunity to add to his already impressive regular season.
In last Sunday’s win over the New England Patriots, Allen earned his 75th career win, tying Russell Wilson for most wins by a quarterback in his first seven seasons. With a win against the Jets, Allen can surpass Wilson for the most wins ever by a quarterback in his first seven seasons.
Allen may not only surpass Wilson in one category, but he may also match or surpass Wilson for the fourth-most passing touchdowns in his first seven seasons. Wilson’s total is 196 and Allen is just three runs away on 193.
While the Jets have troubled him before, Allen has found a way to overcome them, including early this season.
“These division games are always going to add a little more excitement to it,” Allen said. “They’re a physical team. They have a really good defense. Why they’ve kept me fit, I don’t think I’ve protected the ball very well against them in years past. But, just making sure That I’m smart about football and decisive in my decisions about where it’s going and how we’re allowing our players to play.
Defensive coordinator Bobby Babich has made it known that on defense, pushing the ball away from your opponent is called a takeaway and oh my god, the defense has been very good at forcing takeaways.
The Bills have a total of 28 takeaways this season, which is tied for third in the NFL with the Texans and Packers. The Bills have also scored 108 points off takeaways this season, the most in the NFL and the most points scored in a season since Buffalo scored 127.
Tickets
The new year is almost here and it has several possible meanings in the NFL.
For the Jets, it’s time to end a disappointing season with a two-game division block at the end of the season on the calendar, starting at Buffalo Sunday and concluding next week at home against Miami.
The opponents will be tough, starting with the Bills (12-3), who can’t take the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed away from Kansas City, but can secure the second seed with a strong finish to theirtheir season.
And it’s time, says interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich, to ring like a bell for the character of the 4-11 Jets.

“Adversity is a gift because it really reveals people’s true identity, their true character,” Ulbricht said last week. “In moments like this, it’s an opportune time to really look around and see how people respond.
And that’s why I’m confident that we ended up the way we did because of the character of this locker room.” What needs to be done is to end it.”
The Jets’ character, but “Brick” has been on message all season in regards to Green.
Schedule
We are near the end.
As the 2024 season draws to a close, the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets have different goals heading into game 17 today at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY.
For Jeff Ulbricht’s 4-11 club, a win on the road against the powerful Bills would be huge. On the year, seven of the Jets’ losses this season have been by less than six points. The team is competitive; Gang Green can’t seem to get the job done. Most recently, the Jets lost to the Rams 19-9 in Week 16.
“I think we’re like the past in keeping the positive things going,” Rodgers said in a press conference after the game. “It’s just about perspective. Your perspective tells your truth and your truth creates your reality. So this is the reality of the situation.”
The reality of the bills’ situation is much more positive. Josh Allen’s 12-3 team won their fifth consecutive AFC East title on December 1 and are still in the race for the No. 1-seed in the conference, which will guarantee them home-field advantage throughout the postseason until they face the Chiefs. It may not happen.
In any case, Buffalo needs to stay ultra-focused entering Week 17. The last time Sean McDermott’s Bills took the field against the Jets on October 14, they narrowly escaped with a 23–20 victory. There’s no time for them to be cautious on Sunday as New York tries to play spoilsport. The fact that Allen had a tough game last week against the Patriots and may be injured — his non-throwing hand has been fractured throughout the season — doesn’t help either.
