The “Barbie” star is expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley, sources tell People Sunday.
Robbie showed off her baby bump in a white crop top while taking a boat ride in Italy’s Lake Como with the filmmaker earlier in the day, as seen in photos obtained by the Daily Mail.
The “Suicide Squad” star paired the maternity look with an oversized blazer and low-rise black pants, accessorized with a cream purse and gold earrings.
Ackerley, who wore a beige button-down shirt and brown slacks, lovingly helped his pregnant wife onto the ship.
Representatives for the couple were not immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Robbie and Ackerley, both 34, tied the knot during an intimate ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia in December 2016.
At the time, the two had been dating for about two years after meeting on the set of the war drama “Suite Française” in 2013.
The “Wolf of Wall Street” actress told Vogue in May 2016 that her relationship with “the best-looking guy in London” was unexpected.
“I was the ultimate single girl. The thought of relationships made me want to vomit,” she said. “And then it dawned on me. We were friends for so long. I always loved her.”
Robbie continued, “But I thought, ‘Oh, he’ll never love me. Don’t make it awkward, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him you like him.’ And then it happened, and I said, ‘Of course we’re together. This makes more sense than anything has ever made sense before.’
In 2014, the couple co-founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment, which has produced several films, including “Barbie,” “I, Tonya” and “Birds of Prey,” starring Robbie.
Although they are extremely private about their relationship, Ackerley gave a glimpse into their life during an interview with the Times of London last month.
They revealed that they spend “24 hours a day” together and don’t feel the need to separate the business.
Pregnant with her first child
Robbie and Ackerley, 34, first met in 2013 on the set of World War II drama Suite Française, where he was an assistant director and she was in front of the camera.
They then got married in December 2016 during a private ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia. Both of them never announced their engagement before their marriage.
Robbie and Ackerley were previously friends and worked together on a production team of four at the production company LuckyChap, which also included Robbie’s childhood friend Sophia Kerr and Josie McNamara.
The company has produced a number of films and television series, including I, Tonya, Birds of Prey and Barbie – starring Robbie.
Last month, Ackerley told The Sunday Times how she and Robbie balance their personal and professional lives.
“[We spend] 24 hours a day together,” he said. “It’s seamless. We don’t have any toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.”
